In the beginning of the story, you watch as The Awoken onslaught Oryx's mighty fleet.
The Awoken queen manages to destroy Oryx's fleet, but fails in destroying his main ship, the Dreadnaught.
This results in Oryx firing a massive weapon that destroys all of The Awoken's fleet, leaving a massive circle in Saturn's rings.
Unfortunately for you, now this means that there is nothing standing between Oryx and the destruction of The Last City.
Well...nothing except for you and The Guardians.
