Star Wars: Battlefront Beta Extended by a Day

Lucky for us, Star Wars: Battlefront has been extended by a day,(according to EA) so for those of you who have been enjoying the game, you can enjoy it even more.

So if you missed the amazing anticipation to play it this weekend, now you have the chance to.

Now this doesn't mean that EA has extended its testing just so you could get more play time.

DICE will use this time to test extreme scenarios on its own servers.

There is no firm date to end the beta, but it should mean that you get one extra day of play.

Here is what EA had to say about the extension:

"Hope your enjoying the Star Wars: Battlefront beta and thank you for playing - every time you log on, it's helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch. As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure.

These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run thru Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day open to the Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.

Please continue to provide your feedback around the Beta and we look forward to seeing you on the battlefront in November."

The Star Wars: Battlefront Beta, which launched on October 8, is open to players across all 3 platforms, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

In the Beta, you are able to experience a number of battle modes, which include:

  • Walker Assault on Hoth: Fight in epic 40-player battles as a Rebel to destroy the Empire’s onslaught of AT-AT’s by calling in Y-wing bombers. Or, side with the Empire and protect your walkers while utilizing their mighty weaponry to crush the Rebel objective.

  • Drop Zone on Sullust: Escape pods are crashing down and you and your team must fight to control them. With its frantic 8v8 matches, Drop Zone is sure to put your combat and strategy skills to the test.

  • Survival Mission on Tatooine: Play alone or with a friend via co-op or split-screen as you battle to hold off waves of Imperial forces including AT-ST’s, TIE fighters, elite stormtroopers and more.
